The approvals build on three licences previously transferred, together with Exploration Licence EL38574, which received approval earlier this year, marking further progress towards completing one of Nigeria’s emerging lithium development portfolios.
In parallel, Nigeria’s Ministry of Solid Minerals Development has accepted applications to convert three Small Scale Mining Leases (SSML36058, SSML36039 and SSML42553) into full Mining Leases, while the MCO has granted a final two-year renewal of Exploration Licence EL35506 in Kwara State. To support the regulatory process, Chariot has increased its convertible shareholder loan facility to US$879,195, with the additional capital earmarked for licence transfers, renewals, mining lease conversions and statutory portfolio obligations.
